PPG Tuesday Tip: Creating New Connections in the Brain

Why is it important to create connections in the brain?

Some conditions can interrupt the brain's connectivity causing an acceleration in its decline. Developing new connections in the brain through an activity (like ping pong!), learning a new skill, or replacing a habit with something new can help the brain grow and develop.

Continuing to make new connections through action can help us adapt to new experiences, process thoughts and feelings, improve memory, and strengthen our ability to solve problems. This is why ping pong is so beneficial to the brain and body.

The more we play, the more neural connections are made and then strengthened. Ping pong is such a great sport when it comes to creating new connections in the mind. 😃

Ping Pong for Good is passionate about bringing the benefits of table tennis and neuro fitness to all people, especially those who have neurological and cognitive conditions. Check out our class descriptions!
