Ping Pong Drills: Ball Balancing, Bouncing and Tossing

“Ping Pong Therapy” incorporates drills. What drill are you practicing this week?

Here are some tips on how to incorporate drills to skills at home:

1. Ball Balancing
Standing with feet together hold a paddle with one side up and balance the ball on it. Try it in the other hand. Then try it with your feet hips width apart.

2. Ball Tossing
Toss from hand to hand, toss for 10x or so, toss with one hand and then the other helping to work on hand/eye coordination.

3. Ball Bouncing
Hold the paddle with one side up and your wrist facing up. Then bounce the ball as many times as you can then flip your wrist and bounce it with holding the paddle with your wrist down.

Note: Make sure to speak with your doctor, physical therapist, or fitness professional to make sure you are cleared for exercise without supervision, or whether these exercises would be appropriate for you before attempting.
